BWF INVITES YOU TO BE INSPIRED
On Saturday 18 June Brisbane Writers Festival will present the 2016 Inspire Festival – this year at Brisbane Powerhouse.
Inspire Festival is designed to evoke inspired thought and positive action in your own life. Featuring dynamic speakers from around the country including Stan Grant and Mark Bahnisch alongside home grown Queensland talent including Tim Fairfax AC, Catherine McGregor AM and the dynamic duo behind Orange Sky Laundry, Inspire Festival will make you think, feel, and act.
Brisbane Writers Festival Acting CEO and Festival Director Julie Beveridge said, “Whether you join us for the whole day or just attend the session that speaks to you the most – you will have the opportunity to listen to people who have actually made the transition from everyday lives to leading a more inspired and meaningful life.
“Each session will explore themes relevant to all of us and will surprise, challenge and provoke, but most of all give you that call to action which will inspire you and those with whom you share your life to take it forward in a positive way.”

It’s an election year. Once again we will go to the polls and exercise our democratic right to choose who leads our country. What does democracy mean in modern Australia? Do we vote with our heads or hearts? What do we need to consider when we head to the polls later this year?
Time 3.00pm – 4.30pm
Speakers Catherine McGregor AM, Tim Fairfax AC, Michael Ross, Nic Marchesi and Lucas Patchett
The speakers in this session were all awarded Australian/Queenslander of the Year awards this year. What drives them to follow their dreams, and what inspires them to give themselves so openly to their area of focus?
