At just eighteen years of age, Mikayla Barber has hit the global spotlight, recently returning from France working with the dramatic international touring show, Cavalia.
Arguably one of the best trick riders in the country, so good in fact, Mikayla was cast by the Canadian-based equestrian show on their 2013 tour in Australia, earning her some international attention.
Mikayla and her Palomino Australian stock horse, Maverick, will be preparing for Bon Voyage, a Michael Boyd production, set to hit the theatre on September 10.
Producer extraordinaire Mr Michael Boyd is the master mind behind the production, celebrating a mysterious and elegant adventure through a setting of the world’s greatest destinations.
From the eclectic culture of Bollywood, through the romanticism of Paris cabaret and of course the wonderment that is Australia is just a few of the settings the show envisions.
Boyd has recently showcased blockbusters like The Ultimate Vegas Show, Cabaret De Paris and Mystique, as well as being one of the star finalists on Australia’s Got Talent in 2013.
The World premiere season, Bon Voyage will give the Gold Coast a taste of world-class performers and exciting new features on stage at Jupiters Theatre.
