Deadly Heat by Richard Castle
Book Review by Hush Hush Biz Book Reviewer Jamie Campbell
NYPD Detective Nikki Heat is back with another grisly murder to solve, but this one hits a little too close to home for her liking.
With her partner, journalist Jameson Rook, she is plunged into a case that involves stopping a terrorist’s chemical weapon. In order to save the population of New York City and beyond, she must find out who her enemy is and shut them down with her usual brand of ferociousness.
As the body count continues to grow, Nikki soon realises she has a connection to those involved. The names are familiar to those implicated in the case of her murdered mother. In order to find the terrorists, she has to confront her own demons and work out her enemies from her allies.
The fifth book in the Detective Heat series, this one does not disappoint. With twists you don’t see coming, shocking revelations, and that humour that is uniquely Richard Castle, it will have you gripped until the very end.
For anyone that is a fan of the television series Castle, and to everyone who is a fan of murder mysteries, this book will delight you in every way. A definite must read.
