Hollowland by Amanda Hocking
Book Review by Hush Hush Biz Book Reviewer Jamie Campbell
In a post-apocalyptic world where zombies have taken over, Remy is one of the last survivors. When the safe facility she is hiding in is breached, she has to leave in order to find the brother that was evacuated earlier.
Taking her young fried with her, they travel around the country finding supplies and clues to get her to her brother. Meeting Lazlo, a rock star before the zombie disease started, and Blue, a doctor, they band together and join in the search.
Fighting killer zombies in a world where the humans are losing, Remy and her group grow more desperate with each day that passes.
Hollowland paints a picture of a world that no-one wants to live in. We are with Remy for her entire journey and can feel her pain and fear. The group becomes a unit, going through the ups and downs as only a family could.
Even if you aren’t into zombie apocalypse stories, you will still enjoy Hollowland for the adventure and fight for survival.
