Chrissy Amphlett has died, aged 53

Legendary Aussie rocker  passed away overnight in the news today in  New York, where she lived with her husband. She was remembered for many of her songs back when she was the lead singer of the Divinyls, whose hits, including I Touch Myself andPleasure and Pain, topped Aussie charts in the 1980s, and lead to worldwide fame.

She has suffered a lot of ill health the last 10 years and  breast cancer  and multiple sclerosis was a challenge to her over the year.

She will be remembered for her great voice and stage presence and for her role later when she took to stage when she went solo with  The Boy from Oz.
