FOCUS ON VEGAN FASHION
The Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin have started the new season with 160 labels. From today until Friday, international designers will present their sustainably produced collections for summer 2016 on the biggest presentation area ever. The broad offer comprises everything from high fashion and street and casualwear to shoes and accessories. A comprehensive event programme with discussions, presentations, guided tours, workshops, fashion shows and a showcase on the topic of vegan fashion complement the trade fairs taking place at the Postbahnhof. The organiser of the two events is Messe Frankfurt.

At the opening of the trade fairs, all eyes were on a pioneer of eco fashion from the world of conventional retail: Christian Adelsberger, purchasing manager from Kastner & Öhler, opened the two trade fairs at the Postbahnhof together with Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt. In the presence of numerous visitors and press representatives, Adelsberger emphasised the importance of innovative labels for retailers: “Green fashion is an asset and a real add-on for the trade. I can proudly say that it is profitable for us. The fashion claim and the professionalism of the labels have become extremely developed in recent years. Eco-Fashion is fun and gives the consumer a good feeling.”

Visitors will also experience a new form of ticketing this year: for the first time, trade visitors and representatives of the press have just one ticket for the two trade fairs, which also grants entry to the Premium, Seek, Bright and Show&Order events taking place at the same time. The official Mercedes-Benz shuttle service will also make getting to and from the Postbahnhof and other hotspots of Berlin Fashion Week much easier.
