For anyone that grew up in my time would know of when Johnny Farnham started singing in the late 60’s and also Oliva Newton John. My confession is that my first single was Sadie! and then ONE!…..and I was in love with Johnny then, and still am with him, and his voice as it he is one of the best ever singers in our time that just keeps getting better and stronger. In delight of hearing the highlights of “Too Strong Hearts Live ” with the duo top voices and sad to say I missed the concert which at least the new release today of the album is very welcoming, and already I think it will have a bit of a stay in my Cd Car Rack.
Recorded in Melbourne with Philharmonia Australia, the twenty-one track album features sixteen duets with two of Australia’s most iconic singers.
With a 60-piece orchestra behind them, Farnham and Newton-John recently sold out houses around the country. With Chong Lim leading the orchestra alongside Farnham’s core band and singers, audiences were treated to a thrilling series of gigs that saw each artist dig into their own personal songbook with stunning results.
From the Overtune to the duets that consist of SUDDENLY, DARE TO DREAM, HIT THE ROAD JACK /FEVER, YOUR THE VOICE…plus many more and with a few solo tunes Xanando, I honestly love you, and Love to shine. This is the CD that keeps giving you hit after hit and appreciation of great music, and artist, as they are two of our finest singers not only in Australia but the world in my opinion.
