Both the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa and its popular teppanyaki restaurant, Benihana have been honoured as top performers as reviewed by travellers on the world’s largest travel site, TripAdvisor®.
The award-winning resort today announced it received two TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence awards which honours hospitality excellence.
The award is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide. Only the top-performing 10 per cent of businesses listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.
To qualify for a Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.
Marriott’s Resident Manager, Sanjay Bhatia said it was an honour to receive one of these awards but to receive two was really something special.
“We constantly strive to bring our guests the best experience possible, and its fantastic to know that we have succeeded, resulting in many happy customers leaving positive reviews on websites such as TripAdvisor,” he said.
“We are humbled by the amount of people who have shared their enjoyable experience online and recommended Benihana and the Surfers Paradise Marriott to others.
“We are thrilled to have received two TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence awards and will continue to serve our guests to the highest standards so we remain at the top of our game and leaders in our industry.”
Vice President of Marketing for TripAdvisor for Business, Alison Copus said “TripAdvisor is delighted to celebrate the success of businesses around the globe, from Sydney to Chicago, Sao Paulo to Rome, which are consistently offering TripAdvisor travellers a great customer experience.
“The Certificate of Excellence award provides top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers.”
