GLAMOUROUS MAGIC MILLIONS HATS AND HIGH TEA
The annual Magic Millions Hats and High Tea is set to be a real showstopper in 2014 with Myer ambassador Laura Dundovic hosting the stunning event at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa, and Myer milliner Natalie Bikicki revealing industry secrets on racing fashion’s ‘do’s and don’ts’.
The fashionable affair has cemented itself as the place to be seen during the Magic Millions Carnival and for the first time, Myer has partnered with Marriott to feature a stylish fashion moment, showcasing the latest trends in both apparel and millinery.
On Thursday, January 9, the beautiful Garden Terrace at the five-star resort will be transformed into a dazzling display of fabulous food as executive chef Andrew Fraser unveils his interactive canapé bar and maitre chocolatier Surath Perera delights guests with a decadent chocolate display.
Chandon NV will be served throughout to accompany a selection of indulgent high tea treats including finger sandwiches, French pastries, chocolate truffles and freshly baked scones.
Marriott’s director of event management Louise Bradfield said the popular event continued to gain momentum as new ladies joined the loyal following of guests who re-book year after year.
“The Marriott’s Magic Millions Hats and High Tea is a high profile event that is growing every year,” she said.
“Myer’s involvement in 2014 is testament to how important this event is on the racing, fashion and social calendars.
“With Myer on board and Myer ambassador Laura Dundovic as host, 2014 is set to be our biggest year yet. Our team of creative designers, event managers and chefs have planned something extra special for the expected 180 fashion-savvy ladies, racing VIPs and media who will join us for this year’s annual event.”
A host of fabulous prizes, including a $1000 Myer shopping spree will be up for grabs in the raffle held by the Arundel Riding for the Disabled, while the coveted best dressed and best hat prize will be hotly contested.
Magic Millions Hats and High Tea will be held on Thursday, January 9 from 11am – 1pm in the Garden Terrace at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa. Tickets are $110 per person and include chef-crafted canapés, high tea items, Chandon NV, juices, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
