O’SHEA SET TO MAKE GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT THIS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 7TH
Sony Music Entertainment Australia is proud to release ‘Here I Am’, the new single from husband and wife duo O’Shea. Taken from their highly anticipated third studio album THE FAMINE AND THE FEAST, ‘Here I Am’ follows on from the hugely successful first single ‘Bad Day Good’.
Co-written with Nashville hit maker Tim Nichols, whose song writing credits include hits for superstars like Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson and many others, the song artfully details a series of ‘what if’ vignettes from Mark and Jay’s real life journey. The up-tempo track is ear candy at its finest and the rhythmic chorus is a fresh new direction for the award winning duo.
“It’s kind of inspired by the movie SLIDING DOORS”, notes Jay. “We all think we want our lives to move in one direction, when really there’s a bigger plan for us all that we have no idea about! And thank goodness!”
“It’s crazy to think about some of the specifics,” says Mark. “I mean huge life altering moments can come down to tiny things like your car breaking down, getting fired or staying around for an extra dance!”
With a lyric that is as anthemic as it comes, the brand new single from O’Shea is sure to react with fans and new listeners alike.
The first single ‘Bad Day Good’ has taken the #1 spot on the Country Music Channel’s Top 50, and is currently #4 on The Music Network Country Music Airplay Chart. The official video has exploded online with over 13,500 Shares and 425,000 views on Facebook.
Mark and Jay are also the official CMA Red Carpet correspondents for CMC Australia. Their special CMA Red Carpet edition of ‘O’SHEA USA’ airs on CMC next week. And to cap off a stellar week, the duo received the news that they have been asked to perform the hit at the mother church of country music, the Grand Ole Opry this Friday, November 7th 2014!
O’Shea will be launching THE FAMINE AND THE FEAST at the 2015 Tamworth Country Music Festival. Catch them live at 2pm at The Capital Theatre on Thursday 23rd January, 2015. Additional 2015 tour dates to be announced shortly.
