The 55th TV WEEK Logie Award Winners
Australian television has a new darling with actress ASHER KEDDIE walking away this year with Australian television’s most coveted prize -the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on TV.
Best known and most loved for her role as Nina Proudman in the Network Ten smash hit series Offspring, Asher hit the Logies red carpet with her Offspring castmates. She also took home the Silver Logie for Most Popular Actress.
After the glitz and glamour of Australia’s most sparkling red carpet, an array of talented presenters including Jennifer Hawkins, Karl Stefanovic, Lisa McCune, Mike Munro and Don Hany charmed the audience.
This year the TV Week Logie Awards celebrated their 55th anniversary with a ceremony that opened with an electric performance by Bruno Mars, while live performances from Michael Buble, Birdy and Olly Murs raised the roof of the Crown Palladium.
2012’s hit show The Voice took the Logie for Most Popular Light Entertainment Program, while Voice coach Joel Madden also took home a Silver Logie for Most Popular New Male Talent. Last year’s Gold Logie winner Hamish Blake took home the silver for Most Popular Presenter while Logies were also picked up by Steve Peacocke, Deborah Mailman, Redfern Now, Howzat! Kerry Packer’s War and House Husbands.
Respected newsman, BRIAN HENDERSON was inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame in recognition of a career spanning almost 50 years and dedicated to delivering the news.
