The Gold Coast Indie Film and TV Network presents: Australian International Actor Legend Tony Bonner. The Gold Coast Indie Film TV Network is very proud to have special guest legendary actor “Tony Bonner” at their last event for the year on Wednesday 28 November at The Arts Centre Gold Coast.

Tony Bonner is one of Australia’s most successful actors and has been in the industry for over 40 years in many film, television and stage productions. On the night he will share his vast experiences as an actor and his recent directorial and teaching projects with the audience with a Q&A.One of Tony’s most beloved and early roles was as Jerry King in the classic Australian television series, Skippy, which is still seen in re runs on various time slots and countries.

Tony has appeared in many impressive Australian made films being The Anzacs, The Man From Snowy River, The Lighthorseman, Home and Away and Neighbours and on stage in Love Letters, Only When I Laugh, The Sentimental Bloke, The Cellophane Ceiling, The Three Musketeers and has recently directed One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Caroline Russo founder of the GCIFTN says that Tony Bonner has great energy and passion on the business “He has been a real asset to the Australian film industry and has made a great contribution and we are going to have a great insight to a lot of things that Tony has done and what he is up to now.

The GCIFTN would like to acknowledge local business “Beyond Good Health” at the Glades Golf Links at Robina to owner director Bonnie Sleep who  has  sponsored Tony being here on the night.A short talk with writer and producer Tony Bellino will also be added supported guest  to network. Tony will be sharing information about his current WWI film documentary Waltzing Mefisto and his comedy feature film Internet Dating Four Dummies, which has also been turned into an E-book & hardcopy novel will also be a added on to the evening.Noel Evans, is a local indie filmmaker director, and I am very pleased indeed to showcase a short film created by Matthew Bennett called The Token.

It centers on Wilhelm who, whilst raiding a Polish cottage as a German soldier, is forced to choose between loyalty to his country and the memory of a childhood friendship. “The Token” explores how childhood experiences affect who we become and the decisions we make. Not to be missed on seeing this and we shall have Noel Smith intro the film and have a brief chat on this,

To open the night we have Kid Marvel who has released a debut album in January 2012 ‘Introducing…Kid Marvel’. Gigging as an artist, MC and DJ, he could have been a doctor, a lawyer, or engineer for that matter. But for GC producer-rapper Mitch Pattugalan, aka Kid Marvel, this was never on the cards. This hip hop artist had an ear for music at an early age with family influence is self taught and is already making a great impression on what he has achieved. On the night Mitch will be accompanied by Dancers from Wild Child Studios. WCS have won the ‘Highest Achieving Dance Studio Award’ at Quota International Eisteddfod 2012, and are now dancing for new R&B/hip hop artist KID MARVEL. Again this will be a wonderful opening to the network and to have the talents of GC artists here on the night.

The GCIFTN is delighted to have Paul Holmes from Breakfast  Holmes and Flan Hot Tomato to be our host for the night. The Gold Coast Indie Film and Television Network is brought to you by Caroline Russo Media and Promotions and proudly sponsored by Business GC and Filming GC.The GCIFTN would also like to thank its November associated sponsors Palace Cinemas, De Bortoli Wines, Digital 31, My GC.com, Beyond Good Health Spa and Clinic, and Griffith University Film Students.
