Jordyn Yarker Releases New Video clip ‘Keep It Simple’
Featuring Home and Away’s Matt Little
Actress and singer/songwriter Jordyn Yarker, returned to her home town of Gold Coast, Australia, in April 2016 to shoot the music video to her new single ‘Keep It Simple’. The 15-year-old starlet is now based in Los Angeles where for the last 18 months she has been shining her light in the world of showbiz.
Her lucky break come last year when Yarker landed the starring role in the number one Nickelodeon TV Kids show “Bella and The Bulldogs”. Acting is only one passion that this young lady desires to keep growing. Over her years she become a vocalist and writer and was inspired to write her new single ‘Keep it Simple’.
The message in this song is based on her personal experiences as a teenager living in a fast paced and socially complex environment, dealing with unnecessarily complicated relationships through social media and texting. Jordyn’s aim for writing this song is to see if when the mind games that come with these forms of communication are stripped away the simplicity of straight forward and real life conversation become real.
“I can’t believe that my career has been so good to me so soon and I really want Aussie kids to see how persistence, commitment and belief can achieve whatever you want… just don’t let the drama of social media or anything else for that matter drag you down,” said Jordyn.
‘Keep It Simple’ features Australian actor Matt Little, (Channel 7’s Home and Away), who’s character is VJ Patterson. Matt recognised Jordyn’s tenacity in her pursuits as an actor and singer in the tough entertainment world of Los Angeles. As a fellow actor understanding the complexities of the industry, Matt wanted to assist the young Australian actor and flew to the Gold Coast to support and be part of the video.
The shoot took over two days filming on the Gold Coast and parts of NSW. The clip connected Jordyn with the creative director of Vision Pictures, Mack Lindon, who has now casted Jordyn in his upcoming apocalyptic movie ‘Dunamis’ (starring Dan Ewing). ‘Dunamis’ is a Vision Pictures Australia production in association with Pinnacle Films.
Jordyn is now back in Los Angeles and continues her development with some of the best in the biz. Since leaving for the entertainment world in 2014 she has accomplished more than most adults. Jordyn loves to return back to Australia for short breaks when time allows and will head back home to Australia for the filming of ‘Dunamis’ in September 2016. In the meantime she aims and hopes that her message in ‘Keep It Simple’ will be heard and some positive changes may occur.
