HOLLYWOOD ENTERTAINMENT REPORTER SAM RUBIN DIED AT 64

Sam Rubin tragically passed away after reportedly suffering from a heart attack at his Los Angeles home on Friday, as per TMZ. According to breaking news from Variety, the incident occurred following his regular Hollywood news segments on KTLA’s Morning News program, where he was a beloved fixture.

A prominent entertainment reporter for KTLA, Sam Rubin was also a familiar face on national platforms like Today and Today Extra. The confirmation of his passing came from KTLA itself, in a statement shared on social media.

“KTLA 5 is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sam Rubin. Sam was not only a titan in local news and entertainment circles but also a staple of Los Angeles morning television for decades,” the statement expressed.

“His infectious laugh, undeniable charm, and genuine care touched everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Sam cherished his roles as a loving husband and father above all else. Our hearts go out to his family during this trying time.”

Tributes poured in from colleagues and friends, with entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins remembering Sam fondly.
