Four Queensland filmmaking teams have been selected to take part in Screen Queensland (SQ) PROJECTOR.
Screen Queensland has selected four teams to take part in its inaugural SQ Projector workshops, which will be convened by Wendall Thomas from Monday 11 May in Brisbane.
SQ Projector is an exciting development initiative run by Screen Queensland in conjunction with Screen Australia and MIFF 37⁰South Market, designed to take filmmakers embarking on their first or second feature film through an intensive development workshop focused on clear market outcomes.
Producers from the successful teams will complete the process by presenting their projects to international buyers and Australian distributors at the 37⁰South Market, which is held each year during the Melbourne International Film Festival.

Hosted by Melbourne International Film Festival’s industry programs unit, MIFF 37ºSouth Market is Australia’s only film co-financing market in a festival environment.
The market enables Australian producers with market-ready feature-length projects to meet with key international film co-financiers within Australia. Producers are encouraged to pitch their projects with the aim of deepening marketplace relationships and generating financier interest in their slates.
Applications are currently open to Australian producers for 2015’s MIFF 37ºSouth Market in three categories.
