Anjuna, along with local partners Symbiotic and Hardware have made the difficult decision to relocate the inaugural ‘Group Therapy Weekender Australia’ from the Yarra Valley to central Melbourne. Same amazing show, minus the camping.
“With no reprieve from the rain in sight, it has been decided it’s too risky to proceed with a camping event this year. The team was faced with two choices: proceed and cross our fingers that the rain will ease, and the land will dry out, or relocate to the city, where we can provide a comfortable experience rain or shine. The ultimate goal is to deliver the greatest Anjuna event ever to visit Australia, and this can’t confidently be done in unfavourable weather conditions. The comfort and safety of patrons is always the priority and sliding around a sodden farm for two days isn’t the experience anyone wants to have, particularly for an event’s debut year. Although the weather has actually cleared up lately, and many were really looking forward to camping, if we’re to heed the word of Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology, the current La Niña event may very well continue on through the summer months.” say organisers.
‘Group Therapy Weekender Australia’ will take place under a big top tent at Melbourne Showgrounds in a beautiful, grassy arena that’s just ten minutes from central Melbourne. Two days, one stage, same line-up (bar a few small tweaks, including the addition of a Deep Set from Anjuna on Sunday!).

Taking place on Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18, ‘Group Therapy Weekender Australia’ brings Above & Beyond and a curated line-up from their iconic record labels. Saturday, it’s all about Anjunabeats, while Sunday sees a takeover from the stars of Anjunadeep.
Above & Beyond will perform a headline set on Saturday, followed by a special ‘Deep Set’ on Sunday.

This is Anjuna’s first festival event in Australia and follows the success of ‘Group Therapy Weekender’ at The Gorge, Washington State, which welcomed 23,000 campers last July, and ‘Group Therapy Weekender’ London at Dockyards.
One of the world’s best-loved electronic groups, Above & Beyond have headlined arenas around Australia over the last decade, bringing their anthemic dance songs to tens of thousands of fans.
