AFM  2023 Film Sales Announcements Happening


101 FILMS INTERNATIONAL TO MANAGE WORLD SALES FOR TWO NEW HORROR FEATURE FILMS AHEAD OF AFM

101 Films International, an Amcomri Entertainment company, has acquired worldwide sales rights for two horror feature films Witch and Punch launching at AFM.

101 Films have acquired the rights for North America and UK for Witch. Miracle Media have acquired the rights for North America and UK for Punch.

Craig Hinde (Black Site) has written the screenplay for Witch (Witch – IMDb), and also directed the film with Marc Zammit. Hinde and Zammit produced Witch with Tony Zammit and David Baboulene. The film stars Sarah Alexandra Marks, Russell Shaw and Ryan Spong.

Small town, England. 1575. William embarks on a journey to prove the innocence of his wife, Twyla, falsely accused of being a witch and will be put to death if found guilty. William must hunt down the real witch, to save Twyla from death.


Punch (Punch (2023) – IMDb) is from award-winning writer and director Andy Edwards (Midnight Peepshow, Graphic Desires), who has also produced the film alongside Rebecca J Matthews (Reign of Chaos, The Gardiner). The horror film stars Alina Allison, Kierston Wareing, Jamie Lomas, Faye Campbell, Macauley Cooper and Sarah Alexandra Marks.

Before heading back to university, Frankie craves one final night out in her coastal hometown, but sinister local legend Mr. Punch is on the prowl, and chaos ensues as Frankie and her friends fight for survival in this eerie slasher.

“Iain Glen War Epic ‘The Last Front’ Premieres at AFM”


– The Last Front BV is proud to announce the debut of “The Last Front” at this year’s American Film Market (AFM). Directed by Julien Hayet-Kerknawi, this feature film stands as a testament to the possibilities of independent cinema, blending both technical prowess and profound storytelling.

Starring Iain Glen, Sasha Luss, Joe Anderson and the talented James Downie, “The Last Front” unfolds the narrative of a grieving father’s transformative journey from sorrow to heroism.

As he leads his village to safety against a relentless adversary, audiences are treated to a cinematic experience that delves deep into the human spirit.

The film is poised to make its theatrical debut in Q1 2024 in the Benelux region, with a theatrical release secured through Dutch Filmworks and Kinepolis Film Distribution. As “The Last Front” sets its sights on the global stage, worldwide rights remain available, overseen by The Last Front BV.

To industry insiders, distributors, and film aficionados attending AFM, an exclusive screening is slated for Friday, November 3rd, at 3 PM at AMC Santa Monica. This event promises more than just a film viewing. A subsequent Q&A session offers attendees the chance to engage in meaningful dialogue about the movie’s themes, production, and aspirations. The presence of the filmmakers further elevates the occasion.


PALISADES PARK PICTURES CLOSES KEY SALES ON ACTION THRILLER
‘DUCHESS’ INCLUDING US AND UK

Saban Films has taken U.S. rights to Emmy Award nominee Neil Marshall’s (“Game of Thrones,” Hellboy) action-thriller Duchess, it was announced today by Palisades Park Pictures CEO, Tamara Birkemoe. Palisades Park Pictures has additionally closed key international territories on the high-octane crime drama starring Charlotte Kirk (Ocean’s Eight. The Lair), Philip Winchester (”Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), Sean Pertwee (Fox’s “Gotham,” Event Horizon), Colm Meaney (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” Con Air with Nicolas Cage) and Stephanie Beacham (“Dynasty,” “The Colbys”). Saban is expected to release in early 2024.

Palisades Park Pictures has locked international deals for Duchess with Vertigo Films for the UK, Amazon for Benelux, Videomite for Turkey, Selim Ramia & Co for the Middle East, Cinemundo for Portugal, Premiere 9 Entertainment LLP for India, Myndform for Iceland, Daro Film Distribution for Central Eastern Europe, M-Net for South Africa and Top Film Distribution for Ukraine.

Duchess follows no-nonsense Scarlett Monaghan (Charlotte Kirk) and her rise from a working-class petty criminal to becoming a ruthless organized crime leader in the seedy underbelly of the diamond smuggling circuit of Tenerife.

Produced by Emily Corcoran of Cork Films, and Kristyna Sellnerova, Duchess is executive produced by Joe Simpson, Simon Williams, Jonathan Bross and Matthew E. Chausse of Ashland Hill Media Finance, and Norman Merry and Peter Hampden of Lip Sync, as well as Jon Dean, Phil Rymer, Seth Sklar, Colin Egglesfield, Giada Falzoni, Charlotte Kirk and Neil Marshall. Marshall and Kirk also co-wrote the screenplay.

Other significant feature titles on the Palisades Park Pictures sales slate include That’s Amore! starring John Travolta, Katherine Heigl and Christopher Walken, written and to be directed by Academy Award-winner Nick Vallelonga, and Philip Noyce’s action-adventure Fast Charlie starring Pierce Brosnan, Morena Baccarin and James Caan.

The U.S. rights deal was negotiated by Palisades’ Birkemoe with Stephen Break on behalf of Saban Films.
