MAGIC ALL THE WAY ALADDIN
If there was ever three wishes to come through well then it surely did happen for me last night in attending the opening of the new musical in town at QPAC in the Lyric Theatre Aladdin. I had great seats, had a great night, and saw a great show.
It was one of the most spectacular shows that I’ve seen and stands out to be a triple-A production and Disney sure knows how to put that together.
It was faultless it just glided with ease and in all my time of going to the theatre, I’ve never seen a standing ovation before the second half.
The leading cast of this production is incredible in every way and everyone deserves a big applause and they got it last night big time. With Aladdin played by Australian actor who hails from Perth WOPA is the very talented Ainsley Melham who is magical to watch as is his leading lady Hiba Elchikhe as Princess Jasmine. Garth Jacobs the Jennie just adds definitely the razzamatazz in particular with each stage number he is in, and he claims the charm and is infectious on stage as he is joined in with the assembled cast with some outstanding numbers and stage sets to boot, and this is where the audience is on a magical carpet ride with this production…. it is divine and a magical feast!
The production stage sets to the costumes are also gobsmacking unbelievably good and the budgets are high end how glorious that is to see. To be backstage would be a treat to watch as there are so many fast changes at hand and again a tight ship of workers at hand in order to stage this memorable musical.
If there is ever a musical show that you cannot afford to miss then I suggest you get in very quickly to get your, tickets as they will disappear fast. My wishes are now to see it a second time and a third as it is one of the best shows I have seen.
