BIELFIELD RELEASES ‘DANCE AGAIN’FEATURING DRAG SUPERSTAR COURTNEY ACT

Sony Music Entertainment Australia is excited to announce that US-born singer/songwriter, Bielfield has released his brand new single, ‘Dance Again’ featuring International drag superstar Courtney Act.
The high energy dance track, which premiered on perezhilton.com over the weekend, was produced by Bielfield and Jhay C and was co-written by Courtney Act. ‘Dance Again’ mixes modern electronic elements with retro sounds to create a unique club sound all its own. “It’s as if Major Lazer and Ace Of Base had a love child” explains Bielfield.
“Courtney was the big inspiration for this song,” reveals Bielfield. “I wanted towrite a song specifically for her voice. Something special that brought out hervibrant spirit and girlish innocence.”
Bielfield first met Courtney Act last year, backstage at a music festival. “Immediately knew I needed to work with her”, he remembers. “A week or two later, wecame face to face again, at a concert where she introduced me to the stage. After the show, I invited Courtney to a Mexican restaurant, got her wasted on margaritas,and I charmed her into joining me in the recording studio.”
“We got to work on something that would resonate on today’s pop radio”, he continues. “We wanted a song that would stir emotions, not necessarily full on jumping round the house craziness, but a track that might get people moving.”
Courtney Act is a fervid George Michael fan so the late great pop star played heavily into their thoughts when it came to deciding how ‘Dance Again’ should be structured and the tensions they would incorporate in the musical lines. “I can sometimes be a little mental when it comes to building a song’s blueprint,” Bielfield admits, with a smile. “It’s my classical training sneaking in, I’m afraid.”
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Bielfield is a self-confessed pop fanatic who’s written and performed pop music from an early age. Recognised for his musicality and talent, he went on to attend New York University as an Undergraduate, before attending the prestigious Juilliard School for his Masters Degree.
Still embracing his classical roots, Bielfield will be performing as a soloist with The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra for their production of Handel’s Messiah.
