2020 is one of BIGSOUND’s most important years in its 19 year history.
Delivered to your screens Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October (and then available to delegates on demand), this new virtual event has found a way to showcase the most anticipated up-and-coming artists and drive much needed conversation.
The Festival Programmers have hand selected the next crop of emerging Australian music talent with The BIGSOUND50 and will double down on its role in shining a global spotlight on the artists of tomorrow. BIGSOUND will help amplify these artists to the wider music industry to further expand audiences and connect them with potential business relationships.
BIGSOUND 2020 will again feature First Nations House in partnership with Spotify (this year virtually), providing a poignant and important program of domestic and international delegates discussing the future of the music industry, creating virtual performance opportunities and offering valuable connections to those across the music industry from a First Nations perspective.
BIGSOUND 2020 will deliver on the promise it has made to the music community for 19 years. To connect, to inform, to support and to inspire.
This was not the year anyone expected, but BIGSOUND will continue to deliver for artists and to the music industry as a whole and this year be front and centre in bringing the community together at a time that has never been more important.
Delegates who purchased a ticket to the BIGSOUND physical event will receive a full refund with free digital registrations open from today at www.bigsound.org.au. The full BIGSOUND delegate portal will be open for registrants from the end of September for networking and exclusive content.
BIGSOUND thanks the ongoing support of our partners: Australia Council for the Arts, Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, Tourism and Events Queensland, triple j, Spotify, Oztix, APRA AMCOS and Levi’s®.
BIGSOUND 2020 won’t have a physical presence this year, but it will deliver on the promise it has made to the music community for 18 years. This was not the year anyone expected, but BIGSOUND will continue to deliver for artists, be the place of the big discussions for industry, and this year be front and centre in bringing the community together at a time that has never been more important.
Free virtual delegate passes are available now.
