BOOK REVIEW OF ‘THE GOLDEN LILY’ BY RICHELLE MEAD

The Golden Lily
The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead

Book review by Hush Hush Biz book reviewer Jamie Campbell.

The Golden Lily is the second book in the Bloodlines series and picks up where the first one left off. Alchemist Sydney Sage is attending an elite human boarding school in order to hide the Moroi royal princess.

As Sydney gets closer to the guardians and vampires, she is pulled into their world where she finds herself questioning her own beliefs. Unfortunately, it’s that kind of action that can get her killed.

Dabbling more and more into the world of magic, Sydney finds herself in a complicated situation of having to hide everything about herself. Even new boyfriend Brayden, who seems perfect in theory, doesn’t realise who she really is.

But there is one person who does. He can inextricably see right through her charade and loves her all the more for it. But can Sydney cross the threshold of her beliefs and return his feelings?

A gripping sequel that expands more into the world of the Moroi and Strigoi vampires. Bringing back a few well-loved characters, The Golden Lily is everything you would expect from Mead. Enthralling, captivation, and addictive. This is vampires done right.
