Waterfell by Amalie Howard
Book Review by Hush Hush Biz Book Reviewer Jamie Campbell
In a normal school, in a normal town, is a girl who isn’t quite so normal. Nerissa is an Aquarathi princess, used to living in her own world under the sea.
Doing her time on land in order to hide from her past, Nerissa must face her destiny and the duties she owes to her people. The trouble is, she doesn’t want to. Nerissa would much rather be normal.
When a new student, Lo, catches her eye, Nerissa tries her best to resist him. Yet there is an undeniable pull in his direction which could cause her entire future to fall to pieces.
With devious royal plots, ordinary high school issues, and overbearing guardians to deal with, Nerissa struggles to overcome her problems. But she has to if she is going to save her people.
Waterfell is a romance story hidden underneath the usual teen angst. With a unique twist of the Aquarathi peoples’ history, it is a good book for anyone that loves YA fiction.
