Sherry Barber is the Reno queen and rightly so as this lady really knows her stuff. She is a regular face on TV on shows like the Network Ten living room where she performs magic in renovating spaces. She has also made appearances on channel 9 and on the today extra show as well as Sky News business. Apart from that she is one very energetic lady who now has a great new book to her name called Renovating for Profit.
This book is quite well illustrated as she guides you through amazing before and after photos and how to transform your property on a budget.
She gives a wonderful introduction about a herself that details her journey. Boy has it been a long and hard road in order for her to be where she is now. Cherie was the oldest of seven kids being raised in Penrith in Sydney Western suburbs and yes she had to share a bedroom.
In her book, she really gives you a great insight into the reno dos and don’ts. The lessons she wanted to share were learnt in partnership with her husband Steve. Starting with their first renovation, they are still together after two decades, working their way to where they presently are in life.
In her book she shares much advice from her top five mistakes, to the key things you need to know and her golden rules for an open house.
I myself, am always wanting to change a room, but lack the motivation and as a result have got a lot out of this book! She truly illustrates this topic well, covering a range of renovation related subjects with helpful examples. I almost want to get my own paintbrush out and get started.
This book is ideal for anybody that is in the market to start work on their property or get into the reno game and would make a great gift for anybody looking renovate their way to their ideal home.
