Back in Australia by popular demand, and more ready than ever, the five strapping young lads of Celtic Thunder have touched down on Australian soil and are due to heat up the country with an extensive nationwide capital city and regional tour. The Billboard Chart toppers are looking forward to enjoying some summer sun and surf during their downtime on tour, which will kick off in Cairns on the 23rd of January 2013.
Formed in 2008, Celtic Thunder have celebrated worldwide sales approaching 2 million units and have a string of platinum and double platinum discs, with their recent DVD release ‘The Show’ having just gone triple platinum in Australia. This year they have gone on to become Universal Music Australia’s highest selling artist on DVD for 2012.
This world-renowned musical ensemble had the honour of performing for President Obama at the White House in 2009 and recently performed at a benefit concert in New York for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Celtic Thunder 2013 will feature the band’s popular playlist; their own take on rock ballads and modern pop classics, plus plenty of stirring Irish tunes. Tickets on sale now through TICKETEK.
