HANDEL: MESSIAH
Conductor Erin Helyard, Soprano Miriam Allan, Mezzo Soprano Helen Sherman, Tenor Paul McMahon, Baritone Andrew Collis, Canticum Chamber Choir
QSO continues its annual tradition of presenting Messiah, in 2017 with Handel specialist Erin Helyard at the helm. This is an oratorio you must witness, if not every year, then this once. Telling the story of Jesus’ birth, life, death and resurrection through music and solo arias, interspersed with parts for compelling chorus, Messiah includes one of the most famous pieces of Baroque choral music ever created: the rousing Hallelujah chorus. You must join us!
