AUSTRALIAN-FIRST IMMERSIVE SENSORY EXPERIENCE – WORLD FIRST LAUNCH OF NEW ATTRACTION FOR RIPLEY’S
Trickd, a world-first new Ripley’s Believe it or Not! World Entertainment attraction has launched at Surfers Paradise, delivering brain-bending fun for all ages these school holidays. Set in the heart of Cavill Mall Trickd is the ideal winter/wet weather attraction – set entirely indoors with multiple bright and immersive rooms of hands on fun for all-ages.
The new attraction is also the ideal backdrop for International Day of Fitness this Saturday June 6th with the Muscle Beach style weight lifting dumbbells and benches ideal for giving the illusion that lifting huge weights are being lifted with very little effort. July 16 is International AI Day with Trickd’s AI powered talking pickle providing a fun image of AI being used positively on a day that celebrates the good and raises discussion around the difficulty of AI.
TRICKD, is a reality-distorting immersive sensory experience offering kids and adults alike a mind warping impossible geometry experience, with large scale rooms that tilt the sense of scale and gravity via a maze of interconnected spaces where the laws of physics feel negotiable. All this adrenaline-pumping fun is guaranteed to keep the whole family discovering a brand-new side to reality!
The new attraction will be rolled out globally in coming months.
Guests aren’t just thrown into a new dimension; this attraction slowly picks apart reality until it’s completely on its head. The experience begins at the front door where fun-loving patrons have to find their way in via the secret door – only to be hit with engaging optical illusions, shifting perspectives, and reflections that feel slightly off-kilter. TRICKD continues to escalate as sound bends, tactile cues mislead, and taste experiments challenge flavour expectations.
The grand finale concludes with an immersive digital, glitching environment that blurs the line between the physical and virtual, providing a futuristic finish to the experience.
Featuring cutting-edge technology in a multi-million-dollar fit-out spanning 667 square metres, TRICKD is a next-generation addition to the Coast’s entertainment mix, and a separate, standalone attraction from Ripley’s existing Surfers Paradise venues.

The journey through the all-new TRICKD attraction will unfold across three key zones:
Dr. Enigma’s Laboratory: Reality feels normal at first. Then reflections bend, illusions shift, and glowing experiments reveal that physics may not be what it seems.
The Anomaly Zone: Patterns warp and proportions shift. Colour tricks, sound illusions, and tactile surprises push perception further off balance.
The Paradox Glitch Zone: A high-tech finale where light, motion, and mixed-reality effects collide in a playful unravelling of what’s real.
The all-ages attraction is located at Level 1 – 4 Orchid Ave, Surfers Paradise.
