Superstar and 11-time World Champion Max-D will be put through his paces once again by Neil Elliot, one of the most exciting and talented drivers in the game, while fellow Monster Jam driver and master of both two and four wheel motorsports, Damon Bradshaw will be behind the wheel of Monster Energy.
Scott Buetow returns in 2016, piloting Team Hot Wheels Firestorm, a design engineer with 32 years of motocross racing behind him. The fan favourite Zombie will once again be driven by Bari Musawwir, who came to Monster Jam from
the world of radio controlled trucks – only a few thousand kilos difference! Also joining the line-up is the reigning Monster Jam World Finals Racing champion and former collegiate soccer player, Morgan Kane, piloting the fearsome Dragon.
Two of the fiercest female drivers in Monster Jam are also headed to Australia – Candice Jolly returns in Monster Mutt Dalmatian and fiery redhead Becky McDonough will control El Toro Loco (yellow) in her first time to Australia.
Piloting the silver metallic blur that is the custom Monster Jam truck Alien Invasion is Chad Tingler, in his first time to Australia alongside innovative freestyler and high intensity racer, Charlie Pauken, in Pirate’s Curse first year on tour.
The show will feature four unique Monster Jam driver competitions – Monster Jam Wheelies, Racing, Donuts and the coveted Freestyle competitions, with the Freestyle Motocross and Quad Wars also set to return. Brisbane will also host a Pit Party ahead of the show, where fans can get up close with their favourite Monster Jam trucks, before meeting the superstar drivers.
Standing nearly four metres tall and four metres wide, Monster Jam trucks are custom-designed machines that weigh around 5,500kgs. Built for short, high powered bursts of speed, the powerful Monster Jam beasts perform breathtaking stunts and can accelerate from 0-100kph in under 3 seconds. They literally fly – covering up to 50m in a single leap (a distance greater than 14 cars side by side) and up to 12m skywards.
