To celebrate this year’s EKKA Birch Carroll & Coyle and Event Cinemas are hosting exclusive screenings and pre-release film events so that everyone can find something to enjoy this show day!
Exclusive advance screenings of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (G)*, We’re The Millers (CTC) and Elysium (CTC) will be showing earlier than anywhere else in the country to Brisbane and Gold Coast sites.

Don’t miss the magical fun of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (G). Twilight Sparkle travels into an alternate universe via a magical mirror in order to recover a crown that was stolen from the Crystal Empire. Upon her arrival she is horrified to learn that she has turned into a human. Tickets are only $7** with sessions running at 10:30am.
For the ladies there is an exclusive Chicks at the Flicks screening of We’re The Millers (CTC). Down-on-his-luck Jason Sudeikis and two-bit stripper Jennifer Aniston lead this ‘family’ comedy, posing as a wholesome married couple in an attempt to smuggle weed from Mexico to the United States. Plus additional sessions available from this date to ensure the guys can enjoy this rollercoaster comedy too!
Or check out the highly anticipated Neill Blomkamp’s (District 9) second feature film Elysium (CTC) about a futuristic battle raging between the people stuck on a wasteland Earth and the wealthy citizens of Elysium, a luxurious floating utopia, stars Matt Damon and Jodi Foster.
