The Emporium Hotel has once again claimed the style high ground for celebrating the 2015 Melbourne Cup in Brisbane, with the stunning cocktail bar set to host a fashion-led event starring racing looks from designer-royalty, Carla Zampatti.
Melbourne Cup – A Vanity Affair at the Emporium Hotel Cocktail Bar will feature an exclusive fashion parade by the iconic Australian designer and style muse, as well as cocktails and canapés all afternoon; a very fashionable homage to the country’s greatest race meet.
“We are thrilled and very excited that Carla Zampatti has chosen the Emporium Hotel’s Melbourne Cup event as her exclusive Brisbane parade for this very important day on the country’s social calendar,” said Emporium Hotel General Manager, Peter Savoff.
The fashion parade will include a stunning showcase of heritage designs representing all that is synonymous with style, elegance and grace, whilst paying tribute to the trackside fashions at Flemington. In addition to the colour of the fashions, guests will enjoy delicious racing-inspired cocktails, custom-created canapés and a fresh seafood station, and of course, all the trackside action live on the big screens, among a full afternoon of carefully planned experiences, for $145 per person or $130 per person early bird.
In anticipation of what is the most exciting fashion day of the year, the Emporium Hotel style masters have provided some top look tips for the Melbourne Cup:
·Colour Blocking – cobalt blue, hot pink, yellow, turquoise, aqua, coral, orange, red, purple, emerald and mustard and more are perfect for the Cup this year. The brighter the better, and don’t be afraid to mix colours!
·1940’s Tailoring and Structure Made Modern – a classic look for the races this year, with a modern spin.
