ESSENTIAL DANCE QUT GARDEN POINT THEATRE SOCIAL PICS

An annual event showcasing the Bachelor of Fine Arts( Dance Performance) Students. The performance included dancers Orla Christie, Jessica Dick,Meg Ditchfield, Brook Fiedler, Candice Green, Daisy Hicks, Lucy Hood, Hannah Hughes, Edward Sage Doobay, Lucinda Sterling and Rebecca Willis .

The opening performance “Pulling sand from your eyes” a contemporary dance illustrated Mental Health Issues set to heart felt poetry ,the combination of dance and prose created a captivating commentary on how only through working together, seeking help and allowing others to help is any one person able to cope. This is an accomplished piece of work for 1st year students.

Storm with music of Vivaldis Four Season had many classical ballet elements the moves and shapes more familiar and elegant yet still athletic, The movement across the stage reflecting the change of season in Queensland with changes in tempo and mood to reflect weather, the staging and Choreography were very impressing and felt of a very high standard. Performed by 2nd Year BFA Dance Performance Students.

The event give students a chance to experience performance with an audience and work with professional choreographers a great opportunity for the students and a great chance to see our upcoming talent.
