In an exciting first-ever development, one of Brisbane’s most iconic and celebrated annual events, Rossi’s Oscars, will break its long-standing format in 2014 to partner with Event Cinemas Carindale – Gold Class for the first daytime celebration of the Academy Awards in the event’s 19-year history!

Monday, 3rd March with this year’s theme announced as ‘All that Glitters is GOLD’
to celebrate the 86th Annual Academy Awards in Hollywood. With the “Art of the Party”, depicted and celebrated in several Oscar-nominated films this year such as
The Great Gatsby, The Wolf of Wall Street and Italian film The Great Beauty,
ROSSI’S OSCARS LIVE! will continue this celebration with gusto.
Amidst the luxurious surrounds of Event Cinema Carindale’s prestigious Gold Class Lounge, guests will enjoy the spoils of an ultra-exclusive “Day at the Oscars”, with only 100 tickets available to the general public. Rossi’s Oscars and Event Cinemas are delighted to announce that Cancer Council Queensland (CCQ) will once again be the charity beneficiary for this very special event that has raised thousands of dollars over the years for cancer charities and cancer research. A portion of ticket proceeds as well as all funds raised through charity activities at the event will be donated to CCQ.
Along with decadent culinary treats and free-flowing Moet & Chandon Champagne at pre- and post ceremony parties, glamorous guests reflecting the event’s GOLD theme will be pampered in the plush surrounds of Gold Class Cinemas, taking in all the Oscars glamour and excitement in the comfort of full recliner chairs and will be treated to an endless parade of tasty morsels and bottomless bubbly – all delivered directly to their seats. Oscar fans who prefer to socialise while enjoying the live Academy Awards telecast on the numerous screens set up within the ‘party zone’ in the Gold Class Lounge may purchase a Lounge-only ticket for the event available at $100/pp.
Always a star-studded event, ROSSI’S OSCARS LIVE! ticket holders will have the opportunity to rub elbows with a host of celebrity guests with all the fun, glamour and excitement kicking off with the Westfield Carindale Red Carpet Arrivals from 11.30am.
Mr Rossi & Event Cinemas are pleased to announce that one of Australia’s most talented couples will be gracing the Rossi’s Oscars event with performances this year. The Voice’s Luke Kennedy and real-life partner, entertainer Naomi Price (of Rumour Has It: Sixty Minutes Inside Adele fame), will hit the stage at the glittering post- Oscars telecast party.
Event host Rossi says he is thrilled about this year’s venue being Event Cinemas Gold Class as well as the opportunity to enjoy the entire Academy Awards ceremony live as it plays out in Hollywood. “I am so excited to have the opportunity to view the Oscars live – something I haven’t been able to do in 19 years! I’m really looking forward to suspense being an element of our event for the first time ever. Here’s hoping Cate Blanchett wins!” Rossi adds “It seems only fitting to host this glamorous event celebrating the international film industry’s ‘Night of Nights’ at one of Brisbane’s most fantastic and luxurious cinemas.”
Popular features of the event include the annual Rossi’s Oscars Best Dressed Competition presented by Westfield Carindale and a fabulous raffle with amazing prizes from which all proceeds will be donated to Cancer Council Queensland.
