Created and performed by Dancenorth, Tectonic operates on many levels: an outdoor spectacle, highly physical contemporary dance, community and cultural engagement, and an interactive installation. The installation is made up of 180 buried fit balls, acting as mini trampolines allowing the performers to bounce, flip & soar through the sky with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop.

Presented by URBIS and Gold Coast Waterways Authority, Water Songs is a haunting and magical musical concert series that showcases local talent. Travelling through the Gold Coast’s 260kms of waterways, water minstrels perform from the water into the backyards and public parks along the canals, creeks and channels throughout the length of the Coast.

Viewed from within the safety of your own car, Throttle is a b-grade thriller lit by your headlights, heard through your car radio and seen through your windscreen. It has elements of stunt, the thrill of surprise and the eeriness of a stage lit by car headlights. Staged at Mudgeeraba Showgrounds and created by 2018 Helpmann Award winners The Farm, Throttle is a drive-in live-action film with a difference.

Verdi’s Requiem provides the perfect score for a powerful moment in time, taking the Requiem as a symbol of new beginnings for the City and the Festival. Contrasting sacred devotion with operatic high drama, this concert will be brought to life by Opera Queensland and features an on-stage company of more than 150 artists and musicians.

To close Bleach* Festival for 2019, all are invited to gather at Burleigh Beach once more to witness some of Australia’s leading musicians light up the night. Performances from Ella Fence and Pink Matter will be followed by ARIA Award-winner Montaigne. As one of Australia’s most outspoken and captivating young lyricists, Montaigne brings a performance filled with intoxicating and electrifying tunes.
