Everything Everything return with their third album, the brilliantly ambitious GET TO HEAVEN. The album’s first single ‘Distant Past’ was released earlier this year to critical acclaim and reached #1 on triple j’s most played tracks. Current single ‘Regret’ is the 8th most played track at triple j.
GET TO HEAVEN was produced by Stuart Price (The Killers, Pet Shop Boys, Madonna) it takes the band in another new and bold direction. The record sees Everything Everything evolve still further, pushing and pulling themselves into different spaces and shapes from before. A tour de force, with house pianos and hypnotic vocal harmonies, alongside intertwining synths all provide the backdrop for a searing critique of the modern world. It’s set to be one of the most exciting releases of 2015.
Everything Everything’s acclaimed second album ARC was released in 2013 and entered the UK album charts at Number 5. Their debut MAN ALIVE won the South Bank Times Breakthrough Award and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2011, whilst they have picked up three Ivor Novello nominations over their two previous albums.
Everything Everything are returning to Australia this year to play songs of their new album GET TO HEAVEN at Splendour In The Grass Festival this July in Byron Bay. This is the second time the band has played the festival. For fans that have missed out on tickets to Splendour, Everything Everything will also be playing shows in Sydney & Melbourne –
