The world has lost one of its most respected and enduring screen talents, with beloved New Zealand actor Sir Sam Neill passing away suddenly in Sydney at the age of 78.
His family confirmed the heartbreaking news on Monday, describing his passing as “sudden and unexpected.” They also revealed that Neill was cancer-free at the time of his death and expressed their gratitude to the staff at St Vincent’s Private Hospital for the care and compassion shown during his final days. The family has requested privacy as they mourn their immense loss.
