Fashionable Friday Nights are a Crowd Pleaser at Palace Centro

After selling out opening night and enjoying highly attended screenings so far, Reel Fashion has been welcomed by Brisbane fashionistas as the place to be on Friday night.

Guests for Mademoiselle C were treated with French delights in the foyer prior to screening, Advanced Style in July was enjoyed by fashionable ladies of all ages and 42nd Street attendees channeled all things 1930s with vintage clothing the theme of the evening.

This Friday we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of iconic 90s satirical comedy Clueless with patrons on the night all receiving gift vouchers from Brisbane based online fashion store, Beginning Boutique.

In September we are travelling back in time to the 1920s, to admire the breathtaking attire on display in The Great Gatsby (1974), before we fast forward to the 80s, with a mash-up of shoulder-pads, retro eyewear, plaid, and linen suits with Pretty In Pink.

Rounding out September, Reel Fashion presents Oscar-winning film Some Like It Hot, starring Marilyn Monroe dressed by Hollywood acclaimed costume designer, Orry-Kelly. Continuing with tales of some of fashions legendary greats, Yves Saint Laurent is the epic odyssey following the life of one of the greatest visionary designers of our time.

Completing the season in October, Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom dances on to screens with dazzling costumes by four-time Oscar winner, Catherine Martin, Orry-Kelly’s costumes dazzle again in An American In Paris and nothing says fashion like Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face.

Guests to the season have the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree on James St, courtesy of iconic James Street boutiques Samantha Ogilvie and Blonde Venus.

Reel Fashion is proudly supported by Fashion Weekly and Weekend Edition and is a must for all fashion and style enthusiasts screening at 7pm every Friday night until October at Palace Centro Cinema. Palace Cinemas are renowned as a provider of fully licensed and luxurious cinemas dedicated to showcasing quality films.

Tickets are now on sale and are $8 for Palace Movie Club Members and $10 General Admission.
