When I saw the tittle of of this film I thought Interesting! Interview with God?n On the list to see as to curiously firstly and good actors in it .
Starring Brenton Thaites, who is Paul Asher a Journalist, and in the first take of film shows him retuning home from covering the war in Afghanistan. He struggles to deal with the after-effects of his experiences, a failing marriage, and his dying faith.
Brenton Thwaites is from Cairns QLD actor who is known for his portrayal of Luke Gallagher in the Fox8 teen drama series Slide, and later Stu Henderson in the soap opera Home and Away. A move to LA, saw Thwaites get major roles in the films like the Blue Lagoon: The Awakening, Oculus, The Giver, Gods of Egypt, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. He also stars as Dick Grayson in the DC Universe television series Titans in the third quarter of 2018.
Academy Award® nominee David Strathairn is GOD and no stranger to some of the films he has been in and find him very adaptable to anything he does in film or TV and some of his films are (Good Night, and Good Luck) and Brenton Thwaites (Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), along with Yael Grobglas (Jane the Virgin), Hill Harper (Concussion), and Charlbi Dean Kriek (The Other).
Strathairn in this role OF GOD work well, and for co star Thaites they combine ping pong interaction as to the interview that takes over 3 seasons through out the film. Director Perry Lang gives you some good angles of this conversation and at times frustrating dialogue, where Paul processes the crossroads of what is real and to find peace and truth as you trying to work out yourself to where it is heading at different points of the film as he has some flashbacks and reflections of his life.
This wont be everyone cup of tea so to speak but it moves along well enough, I enjoyed how it was shot however’ and it is what it is as to the conclusion.
