JOHNNY ENGLISH STRIKES AGAIN

Director David Kerr
Writer Williams Davies
Starring Olga Kurylenko, Emma Thompson, Rowan Atkinson

After all British agent identities are revealed in a cyber attack Johnny English comes out of retirement for MI7 the secret service . He and his side kick lunge head long into the investigation seeking out the Hacker who is causing chaos in Britain.

As we expect this bumbling spy always ends up right side up as far as the mission goes.
During his investigation he runs into a beautiful spy who attempt at killing him lead to some of the most humourous scenes in the movie. His old school methods really don’t come close to the modern technology yet somehow he manages to come out on top . The virtual reality scene (shown in the trailer) is reminiscent of old Mr Magoo cartoons he manages to traverse a wide range of obstacles while thinking he is on a VR platform .

The movie has plenty of good clean slap stick humour Emma Thompson is memorable as the modern age Prime Minister, Rowan Atkinson is brilliant at this type of humour and if your a fan of the previous Johnny English films you won’t be disappointed . The movies moves along at a slick pace with plenty of laughs and cringes the audience enjoyed, some of the humour misses the mark but there are several side splitting moments that make up for it. The plot is thin and there are very few surprises but the scenes that bind them are very funny .

3/5 stars
