A network presented by The Australian Israel Chamber of Commerce was held at Cloudland in the Valley Tuesday Night 22nd July, to hear the expert team talk on Westfield Garden City in the works of the redevelopment project of $400 million at the Garden City Shopping Centre. The panel speaker that were there on the night were Stuart Elder, Regional Manager Shopping Centre Management,Andrew Pheely, Regional Manager Leasing.Karlie Gleeson, Marketing Manager, and moderated by Adam Di Marco, Founder, TheUrbanDeveloper
The major redevelopment is nearing completion and will launch in September 2014, and tonight the panel shared their insights on how the company will deliver a new world class retail offering to Brisbane, covering the entire process from business planning, development, leasing, management of the centre and marketing.
When complete, Westfield Garden City will raise the bar for Australian retail, setting a new benchmark for shopping centre redevelopment and will provide retail, leisure and entertainment experiences that are on par with global flagship retail assets.
Situated in a major commercial centre in one of the city’s busiest transport hubs, Westfield Garden City has one of the largest trade areas in Australia. The expansion will meet the growing needs of the community, and will strengthen its appeal to the Brisbane market. The large scale redevelopment will see the Centre expand by approximately 40,000 square meters to 140,000 square meters upon completion with the addition of approximately 100 specialty retailers, a brand new Myer, Target, Aldi and relocated Kmart. This will make it the largest shopping Centre in the Brisbane market.
