As the festival prepares to celebrate its 25th birthday in 2014, a new companion event is born.

Newly minted Federal Arts Minister Tony Burke made the trip to Tyagarah to join regular festivalgoer and broadcaster George Negus, cultural creative Rhoda Roberts and festival director Peter Noble to launch the multi-arts celebration of indigenous culture called the Boomerang Festival.
