Ruthie returns to Australia following her 2024 Grammy win for Mileage (after five previous nominations), bringing her powerful blend of blues, gospel, folk and soul to audiences nationwide. The tour opens in Western Australia with a special run of shows including two exclusive double-headline concerts with Eric Bibb (Albany and Bunbury), before continuing across northern Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia, and culminating in Queensland where she will perform exclusively at Blues on Broadbeach as one of the event’s headliners.
Raised in a gospel-steeped family in rural Texas and shaped by her time in the U.S. Navy band, Ruthie has built an international career defined by both musical depth and storytelling. She’s a thoughtful and engaging interviewee, with strong angles across music, identity, community and longevity – and a great personal story about where she was when she received news of her Grammy win.
