HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE HONG KONG BOAT CARNIVAL 2015

The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival was staged from 3 July 2015 (Friday) to 5 July 2015 (Sunday). The carnival featured two key programmes: the CCB (Asia) Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races in Victoria Harbour and the San Miguel BeerFest at the UC Centenary Garden in East Tsim Sha Tsui.

Three days of intense racing filled the harbour with heart-stopping action, a profusion of colour and the sounds of drummers and fans urging paddlers on to the finish line. 4,000 Paddlers to battle it out in Victoria Harbour, 411 teams from 143 dragon boat clubs, with 311 local teams and 100 overseas teams from 13 countries/regions, including Australia, Canada, Mainland China, Dubai, Japan, Korea, Macau, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the UK.

Right next to all the racing action is a festival where athletes and spectators mingle to live music performances, dance and enjoy jugs of refreshing beer. Come for a few cold ones and soak up the party atmosphere. Stay to meet new friends, dance the day away.
