HUSH HUSH BIZ SINGLE REVIEW
It’s My Life

Australian performer and songwriter Lihini Rose has just released It’s My Life, a collaboration with Benjaminenrico and Sean Kingston, who is best known for his global smash Beautiful Girl. After establishing herself as one of Australia’s most accomplished Afrobeats choreographers, Lihini launched her independent career the following year (2021). Her earlier record releases attracted a significant fanbase that spanned the globe, including Brazil, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. In addition, her dance videos have gone global, which has led to the development of a dedicated fan base and the opportunity for her to choreograph well-known acts such as Wizkid, Juls, and A-star. The creative team behind It’s My Life is also currently collaborating with A-list performers such as Chris Brown on forthcoming music projects.

As Lihini says about It’s My Life, ‘The song was written prior to covid and was meant to be released a lot earlier. The vibe of the song  became strong after lockdowns, being about having the right to party and freedom instead of working, the ability to party and enjoy a party life!  Benjaminenrico came up with the idea of having Sean Kingston feature while he was touring Australia, giving the song more flava. And the rest is history. After countless hours in the studio with the Banton Bros, the song is now ready to hit the stations nationally!’ It’s My Life combines hook after hook, empowering lyrics, and Lihini’s sultry magnetism. In the setting of contemporary mainstream music in Australia, Lihini’s ascent to popularity exemplifies the variety of the the country’s music landscape as well as the possibility of achieving success on an international level. Sia, Tones and I, and Flume, to mention a few, are among the long list of Australian musical artists who have won international acclaim. This achievement reflects the flourishing music business in this country, which supports musicians working in various styles, including mainstream, electronic, and independent music.
