Jungle Love Festival announces 28 more acts,
and a Metal Fire-Breathing Dragon Stage
After an incredible first lineup reveal with a staggering 29 acts announced including Nai Palm, Genesis Owusu and Plini, Jungle Love have pulled another rabbit from the hat, announcing 28 more acts to round out the bill for the festival coming up May 1-3.
The announcement includes party starters Thunder Fox and Cheap Fakes, the stunning singer/songwriter, Alisha Todd, and Brisbane indie veterans, The Cairos, who, with new music on the way, will be playing their first show in over four years since their separation in 2016.
Promising a larger electronic music presence to complement the festival’s live program, organisers are set to impress revellers this year with not only an ear melting lineup of electronic artists such as Smilk, Phortah and April Kerry, but also a visual feast to create an experience guests won’t soon forget. Organisers are incredibly excited to reveal Bhima, the fire-breathing dragon which will act as the electronic music stage. Bhima, birthed in the fiery pits of NSW’s regional burning man event, Burning Seed, will deliver festival guests an impressive display of pyrotechnics, lights and to top it off, an amazing display of acrobatic silk artists.
The visual arts on offer this year will be site-wide and mesmerising. In addition to sculptures, fluro and canvas art, live murals and interactive pieces, this year the festival is creating an art gallery space where festival guests have the opportunity to view and purchase artworks created by talented artists in the community. For the adventure seekers, there will also be a plethora of hidden installations to find, scattered around the festival grounds.
Jungle Love is certainly not just a music festival by any stretch. Every year organisers meticulously pour their efforts into curating a performance program to engage and interact with festival-goers, creating more of a surreal wonderland than a festival. On offer will be a variety of circus, aerial and roving performances as well as debaucherous wedding ceremonies where you can actually get married! There will also be an array of workshops and talks throughout the days before kicking the party off later in the afternoon, including Hip Hop Dance classes, painting to music, contact dance, and possibly a world first… yoga, not in the morning but in the afternoon (for those party people that aren’t up at the crack of dawn!)
From pay-it-forward communal rainbow bicycles scattered across the site, to a 60-hour non-stop jam, to a fire-breathing dragon, to a stage dedicated to LGBTQIA+ programming, and music till early hours of the morning, Jungle Love 2020 is set to be the party of the year. 60% of tickets have already sold, so jump on it if you want to be a part of the incredible family that is Jungle Love Music & Arts Festival.
