QLD FILM TV EVENTS IS KICKING OFF HOLLYWOOD STYLE
The opening event of Queensland Film TV Events, formally the GC INDIE FILM TV NETWORK, will be opening up with a new venue sponsor EAST BROADBEACH on March 10. We have headlined the event “Gold Coast Meets Hollywood” and we invite everyone to come dressed up as their favourite movie star, or just get your own Hollywood look together and create a bit of fun while attending a night that brings together special guests, new projects to announce, with entertainment and great networking.
We are very excited to the have special guest speaker Director/Writer/Producer Colin Budds. Having been in the industry for 45 years and currently working on major TV shows, such as Home and Away and Neighbours, Colin Budds credits are many in the fields of TV and film. He has worked on projects such as H2O: Just Add Water, Blue Heelers, and many more. This is a must for all actors, and for anyone that is in the industry to hear what he has to share on the night, and to give some great insights and tips, with the chance to meet Colin.
We are launching “1” a contemporary sci-fi film by multi award winner, including Brisbane International Film Festival, Robert Braiden. Braiden is the director/ writer of this film that will be filmed in South-East Queensland later this year. We look forward to hearing more on this film on the night.
We shall once again welcome Sarah Jones Creative Dancers who will provide entertainment on the night with an opening and closing number specially choreographed for our night. 2014 saw the opening of Jones’ own studio ‘SJJ Creative’. Throughout her 22 years of experience Jones has worked with Jacob Lee from The Voice, Australian Idol’s Emily Williams, Warner Bros Movie World’s ‘Fright Nights’, and Disney displays.
We like to introduce a new spot where we shall call on someone in the industry, most likely an actor, who will be put into the spotlight for 5 minutes to tell us about themselves and what they like to do in the industry or act out something. Who knows WHO will be watching in the room and this gives an opportunity to your talent.
Actress and Presenter Erin Susan Christina Connor will be the MC for the evening, one of our own talented actors in QLD who is currently active in all sorts of work in film and TV.

Doors will open at 6.30pm with light canapés on arrival and a cash bar staying open until 1:00am.
