Legally Blonde the Musical bursts onto the Brisbane Powerhouse stage in this hilarious and high- energy musical comedy for the first time. Based on the 2001 cult classic film; with the iconic characters and move the Bend and Snap, this winner of the Olivier Award for Best Musical, Legally Blonde has captivated audiences around the world.
Legally Blonde the Musical will be on from the 19th to the 22nd of November, performed by the graduating students of the Full Time Industry Course at Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre.
Directed by Callum Mansfield (Dirty Dancing, The King & I, CATS Arena Spectacular), choreographed by Dan Venz and musical direction by Dennett Hudson, this fun, uplifting and inspirational musical promises to be a night at the theatre you positively won’t want to miss!
In association with Queensland’s only professional Musical Theatre Company, Harvest Rain, BAMT’s Full Time Industry Course is an intensive year of training and networking with some of the best and most prominent people in the business and a year of fantastic theatre experiences that broadens all knowledge and understanding of the entertainment industry.
When sorority sister Elle Woods is dumped by her preppy boyfriend, Warner, for somebody more ‘serious’, Elle decides the best way to win him back is to follow him all the way to Harvard Law School. Upon arriving at Harvard, Elle soon realises that what you want isn’t always right in front of you. With the help of her new friends Paulette, Emmett and her faithful chihuahua, Bruiser, Elle tackles adversity to follow her dreams, proving that being true to yourself never goes out of style.
