
Brisbane’s Studio Theatre & Café is inviting families to celebrate Mother’s Day this year with 100 Years of Frank Sinatra, and the World Premiere Live Stage Tribute, “Once In My Life.”
Sinatra, won 11 Grammy Awards and sold 150 million records, and Old Blue Eyes was a household name. “Once In My Life” transports audiences from his birth in New Jersey in 1915, through his early days with American Big Band icon Tommy Dorsey, his Film Career, and finally his shows with the Rat Pack. His fifty years as an entertainer is laid bare through his catalogue of songs, original radio broadcasts, films, interviews and concert multimedia.
A Century of Songs that redefined the Generations!
Sinatra’s songs have stood the test of time, and 20 of his best are featured including,
“I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “The Lady Is A Tramp,” “New York New York,” “That’s Life,” “You Make Me Feel So Young,” “Come Fly With Me” and many more.
Sinatra’s story is told on stage through live performances and narrated video featuring original interviews with Sinatra, his family and friends, classic video of “The Rat Pack” live in Las Vegas, movies such as “On The Town” and “From Here To Eternity”, and of course his personal life and marriages to Ava Gardener and Mia Farrow.
