The play opens in the Venetian home of Pantalone where his daughter, Clarice is about to become engaged to Silvio, son of Doctor Lombardi. As they are about to sign the wedding contract the hilarious and confused Truffaldino enters to announce the arrival of his master, Federigo Rasponi of Turin.
Truffaldino is in love! Clarice is in love! Beatrice is in love! Silvio is in love with Clarice. But Clarice is promised to another. Beatrice is in love with Florindo. Truffaldino is in love with Smeraldina. BUT Truffaldino is the servant of two masters and his double identity gets him and everybody else into a huge mess!!
It all sounds confusing but it works out in the end! Lots of fun and enjoyment and is a great vehicle to showcase the talents of the acting students from the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA).
The Servant of Two Masters is directed by ACPA’s Head of Acting Stella Majewsky.
Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts is delighted to once again be part of the Anywhere Festival.
