JACK PACK – THE ALBUM – IS OUT ON 30 OCTOBER THROUGH SYCO MUSIC/SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT AUSTRALIA FEATURING ‘LIGHT MY FIRE’ (AS SEEN ON BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT) AND ORIGINAL TRACKS ‘FOREVER’ & ‘SAY YOU LOVE ME’
Following a show-stopping performance on Britain’s Got Talent’s live semi-finals this year, Britain’s new swing kings – Jack Pack – have released a new original song ‘Say You Love Me’, taken from their self-titled debut album, which is in stores on Friday October 30th 2015, through Syco/Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
‘Say You Love Me’ was co-written by Future Cut, One Direction’s hit writer Ed Drewett and John Reid (who has written for Tina Turner and Rod Stewart), and produced by Future Cut (who have produced records for Sir Tom Jones, Little Mix, Lily Allen, and Olly Murs).
Jack Pack is a four-piece swing group made up of four distinct vocalists Alfie Palmer, Andrew Bourn, Martin McCafferty and Sean Ryder Wolf, who channel a charm reminiscent of the last days of true Hollywood glamour with a quintessentially British twist.
The JACK PACK album is a modern masterpiece, recorded with a 72-piece orchestra. The album hears Jack Pack put their contemporary stamp on much-loved classics and also introduces listeners to original songs. There are lush re-imaginations of The Doors’ ‘Light My Fire’, Jay Hawkins’ ‘I Put A Spell on You’ and Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’.
The vocal harmonies, the charm and natural chemistry between Alfie, Andrew, Martin and Sean is undeniable. The men pay homage to the Rat Pack style from swing music’s golden years on lively standards like ‘Mack the Knife’ and ‘Lazy River’.

The JACK PACK album also features three brand new original tracks that sound like timeless classics lifted from a record store from a bygone era.
‘Forever’ – a never-been-recorded Randy Newman original – is a heart-warming ballad that sounds like the perfect Hollywood romance soundtrack. Written by the legendary multi-Grammy and Academy Award- winning songwriter behind much-loved Disney Pixar films, ‘Forever’ is a glowing centrepiece of the album.
It is the rich orchestral production in ‘Say You Love Me’ that harks back to the quality of records from the yesteryears.
Andrew Bourn states, “The song has a distinct 60s sound reminiscent of early Bacharach with more than a hint of John Barry. It feels like something out of an old Hollywood movie.”
“It was an amazing experience to record this with a 72-piece orchestra of highly-respected musicians. There’s no smoke and mirrors. It was done in two takes at most. Nobody makes albums this way any more, so it’s really quite special,” he said.
Martin McCafferty adds, “Listening to ‘Say You Love Me’, you wouldn’t know this was written in the last year, let alone this century – would you?”
“It has a real classic feel, which we love, and it sits beautifully next to age-old records like ‘I Put A Spell On You’ and ‘My Way’ on our album. We’re incredibly proud to have a gem like this to call our own. We hope it stands the test of time like the other songs.”
Whether it’s with deluxe revamps of timeless jazz standards or sentimental storytelling through original music, Jack Pack brings the elegance and swagger of swing music in a bigger and bolder fashion that will speak to listeners across every generation.
