TV WEEK LOGIE AWARDS NOMINEES REVEALED!
MEGASTAR MICHAEL BUBLE BRUNO MARS TO TAKE THE STAGE.
The nominees for the 2013 TV WEEK Logie Awards have been revealed this morning in a special edition of TV WEEK magazine.2012 Gold Logie winner HAMISH BLAKE is nominated once again for the top gong. This year however, in a surprise twist, he’s up against his other half, his best mate and his on and off-air partner in crime, ANDY LEE.Also vying for TV’s most prestigious award on the night are STEVE PEACOCKE, CARRIE BICKMORE, ADAM HILLS and ASHER KEDDIE. The latter three were also nominated for the Gold Logie in 2012.A full list of nominees is inside the issue of TV WEEK on sale today, Monday, March 11 and on www.tvweeklogieawards.com.auThe Hall Of Fame award is announced in TV WEEK on March 25. Voting for the Hall Of Fame Logie took place in early February. Names were submitted by networks and TV WEEK, and all the judges on the panels for the Outstanding awards cast a vote.In this week’s issue, TV WEEK pays tribute to highly respected and much-loved TV reporter Peter Harvey. Peter will be honoured in the “In Memoriam” segment of the Logies telecast, along with other personalities and members of the television industry who have died during the past year.TV WEEK is thrilled to reveal global mega star MICHAEL BUBLE will perform his new single, “It’s A Beautiful Day” as an exclusive live TV performance in Australia. Bubles’s most recent album Christmas was certified 7 x Platinum in Australia and was the No.1 record for Christmas two years in a row. Bubles’s highly anticipated new album ‘To Be Loved’ out April 12.
Also confirmed, Grammy Award winning, singer-songwriter and producer BRUNO MARS will also be performing on the Logies stage. Mars’s top-five ARIA smash-hit “Locked Out Of Heaven” has sold over 300,000 copies in Australia. His latest hit, “When I Was Your Man”, has spent seven weeks in the Top 10 ARIA singles chart. Both singles feature on his No.1 album Unorthodox Jukebox.
