World wide release for Disney Channel for Nu Skool Records.
Today Jordyn Yarker will be seen world wide in the great new musical concept that will be viewed for reviews on Disney channel to NU Skool Records.
A music-heavy show is about a group of high school teens who run an indie record label, NU Skool Records, inspired by a true story. When they lose their star artist, the label is in danger of being shut down, unless they can find the next big thing. It’s a mix between High School Musical & amp; Empire!
Jordyn Yarker plays the role of Luna, the new girl from Australia, she is a shy and cute classmate who Jake (Major Curda) has a crush on. After he loses Mitchell (Josh Levi) his star client, he discovers that Luna (Jordyn Yarker) is actually an amazing singer with an angelic voice. Their hopes are high for her to be the future of Nu Skool Records, but as life has it’s ways of making things difficult, there are relationship complexities that throw it’s spanner into the works. Other young talent in the cast Clara (Jordyn Lucus) and Bobby (Eric Osovsky).
Nu Skool Records Writer/director/producer John Swetnam sold his first spec, EVIDENCE, in 2011, which was produced by Bold Films and Marc Platt. He wrote Warner Bros’ action thriller, INTO THE STORM, and Summit Entertainment’s latest entry in the successful dance film franchise, STEP UP ALL IN, which combined, have grossed nearly a quarter billion dollars at the worldwide box office. In addition to assignments for Paramount and Warner Bros, his script for the action thriller set in the EDM world, SPINBACK, sold to Lionsgate/Summit.
Since launching Mad Horse Films in 2013, Swetnam wrote, produced and directed BREAKING THROUGH, which explores the modern world of dance on YouTube and is executive produced by Oscar and Grammy Award winner John Legend. He followed that up by creating and directing MAKING MOVES, a digital series for Fullscreen’s SVOD. Among his upcoming projects, he is producing and helming sci-fi thriller, SPECTRUM, and producing the horror-action film, REALM.
